2026 and Future Expansion
The VTEC National Training Center at Fort Gillem will serve as the nation’s central hub for training, management, and coordinated hiring, anchoring a unified system that supports transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military families. In 2026, eleven additional VTEC Base Camps will come online across the country, providing regional access points for Phase I training, credentialing, and support services.
Based on the size and workforce needs of each state, VTEC will establish one or multiple Base Camps to ensure full coverage and accessibility, ultimately operating in every U.S. state and all United States–owned territories. Looking ahead, VTEC’s long‑term goal is to build a global Base Camp network supporting all 750 U.S. military installations across more than 80 countries, extending our training, career services, and family support to soldiers and military communities worldwide. This national‑to‑global framework positions VTEC as the first truly comprehensive workforce pipeline for the modern military community.
